Ever wondered what goes into making homes look like they just leapt off the pages of a design magazine? Spoiler: it’s more than plumping pillows and placing a vase of fresh flowers. At Sayde Mark Designs, every day is a behind-the-scenes ballet of logistics, creativity, and coffee (lots of coffee), watch us transform 1030 Lombardi.
As interior design legend Albert Hadley once said, “The essence of interior design will always be about people and how they live. It is about the realities of what makes for an attractive, civilized, meaningful environment, not about fashion or what’s in or what’s out. This is not an easy job.” That truth guides everything we do. Our work isn’t about chasing trends—it’s about creating spaces that feel stylish, livable, and irresistible to buyers.
From Warehouse to Wow
The day often begins at our 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse, a.k.a. The Closet. With over 150 sofas, 400 accent chairs, and more than 1,000 lamps in stock, we’ve got enough inventory to stage 100 homes at the same time. That’s not just a brag—it’s a solution to one of the biggest pain points for real estate agents: stagers who can’t scale when multiple listings hit the market at once.
Our proprietary Sayde Mark Designs app lets our team mock up floor plans on the fly. That means faster turnarounds, better furniture fits, and smoother staging days. While other teams are still shuffling spreadsheets, we’re already loading the trucks.
Transformation Time
Once onsite, the design team takes over. It’s not just about placing furniture; it’s about crafting a lifestyle. A formal dining room? We’ll make it romantic yet functional. A spare bedroom? Maybe it becomes a yoga retreat, an office, or a nursery—whatever sparks the imagination of potential buyers.
A recent Forbes Business Council article put it perfectly: “Interior design shapes how people experience spaces, and the right design creates emotional connections that drive decisions.” That’s exactly why staging is so powerful—it’s about connection, not decoration.
Details, Details, Details
Afternoons are where the finishing touches happen. Pillows are fluffed, art is hung, and bookshelves get the perfect mix of coffee-table reads and sculptural accents. Lighting is adjusted to maximize natural glow, because in real estate (and Instagram), lighting is everything.
Our team also films content throughout the day—because yes, showing you a video of “A Day in the Life at Sayde Mark Designs” is better than telling you (see the video above). So that you’ll have a front-row seat to the chaos and creativity that turn empty rooms into showstoppers.
From Staged to Sold
By the end of the day, we’ve transformed another home into a market-ready masterpiece. And when the first open house rolls around, the results speak for themselves—faster sales, higher offers, and happy brokers who know staging works.
Staging isn’t just about filling a room—it’s about telling a story buyers want to step into. From our morning warehouse pulls to evening final touches, our day is fueled by creativity, logistics, and just enough sass to keep it fun.
I think your company does a super job. And, when. the property at 914 Lundy Lane, Los Altos fell out of escrow days before Thanksgiving and the staging had been removed, your company restaged within hours. I was able to hold an open the weekend before Thanksgiving, resold the house for even more.
