In Oakland’s landmark Cathedral Building—its first Gothic-Revival skyscraper built in 1914—Unit #8 is already iconic, but we gave it a livable glow-up. Spanning 1,906 sq ft with three bedrooms and two luxe baths, our staging spotlighted soaring ceilings and grand arched windows that flood the space with natural light. We styled open living and dining zones to frame Uptown views, layered in cozy-meets-chic moments, and gave the full-sized chef’s kitchen and in-unit laundry lifestyle polish. Engineered wood floors and classic architectural details got a modern twist, making historic grandeur feel downright homey. SMD turned this rare architectural gem into a space buyers can instantly imagine living—and thriving—in.
